"As a recent university graduate, the Black Talent Initiative (BTI) provided me with the answers to questions and scenarios that appear in the real world. This initiative is what I needed to help navigate the job market and define my career goals. The availability of numerous mentors who were willing to meet with me allowed me to rebrand myself for the role I wanted. Moreover, they connected me with specific opportunities and people to learn more about the role and potential organizations. As a result, I was able to find employment at one of the best marketing agencies in the country and one that aligned with my career goals. In addition, I am honoured to be a part of the BTI Marketing & Communications team as we grow the brand’s awareness, partner with allies, and help young Black professionals find careers. As a volunteer, I have heard the issues among many organizations that recognize the need for diverse talent and willingness to collaborate."
