I am a steel Panist that has been playing Pan over the last two decades. I have competed in steel pan competitions in Toronto and New York City. I have performed in gigs and events for fundraisers, charities, not for profits, private corporate events, weddings, funerals, as well as in Caribana Toronto carnival, Montreal carnival and various carnivals in Ontario. Together along with my bandmates and business partner, we deliver the authentic Caribbean sound of steel pan in the community while exploring a variety of sounds throughout the different genres of music. In order to display the dynamic aspects of the steel pan. As well as promote its versatility, while staying true to its authentic origin. My goal is to continually uplift my skills promote and share Carribean culture, as it encompasses a nature of joy and resilience that can be used to overcome almost any challenge.

Nick has worked in radio, television and print for the past 36 years covering everything from current affairs to the arts. He has won many awards for his journalism, including a 2006 Gabriel for a story he did on Holly Jones. He's worked at CBC for the past 25 years as a reporter and producer -- most notably as Senior Producer for Metro Morning, where Nick was part of the team that made the program the number one morning show in Toronto. Nick has published and edited magazines, been a crime reporter, hosted TV and radio programs. Tyjondah started her career in gaming in 1994 with Casino Windsor. She began working for OLG in 1999 during her 25 years with OLG, Tyjondah has had progressive leadership roles. She is currently the Director, Program Development and Delivery, within the Community Sustainability and Social Responsibility Office. Overseeing the delivery of OLG PlaySmart programing to ensure healthy player well-being offering safe gambling practices. In 2019, Tyjondah received the Vaike Murusalu Empowerment Award at OLG. In 2020, Tyjondah became one of Canada's 100 Accomplished Black Women by 100ABCwomen authored by the Honourable Jean Augustine. In May of 2023, Tyjondah was awarded the Canadian Equity Diversity and Inclusion Award from the Women's Executive Network presented by MLSE. Delaney Hines serves as the Lead, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) at the Heart & Stroke Foundation (HSF). Hildah Juma (she/her) is the Executive Director for the Black Talent Initiative where she is leading change through building a community, creating connections and collaborating with others while striving to ensure that Black talent feel empowerment and have agency to achieve the unimaginable. Hildah is passionate and steadfast in growing this movement and influencing others to do the same. Hildah was first inspired to join the not-for-profit world, specifically in the post-secondary education sector, as an international student from Kenya, advocating for others. With over a decade of experience, Hildah was the Executive Director for the Canadian Federation of Students - Ontario where she provided effective advocacy strategies to lobbying all levels of government for more than half a million college and university students across the country. Hildah was awarded the Emerging Leaders Social Impact Award in 2023, for her leadership in shaping culture and society. Hildah also holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy along with a Certificate in Non-profit Management. Hildah lives in Toronto with her husband and toddler son, who both inspire her every day in fighting to challenge anti-black racism.
Jamal is the CEO and founder of The Kickback Foundation, a nonprofit established in 2016 to empower youth with dreams but limited resources. The foundation creates and shares inspiring stories, mentorship programs, and educational resources tailored for underserved communities. It leverages the power of media and community as tools for social impact and empowerment.
Karen began her teaching career with the Toronto District School Board in 1993. She is also a registered early childhood educator (RECE) and has extensive experience in the early years. Along with serving as vice- president of the Elementary Teachers of Toronto from 2003 to 2012, she served as their chief negotiator, and benefits coordinator. At the provincial level, Karen has served on the ETFO Executive since 2009. She is a Governor and Fellow of the Ontario Teachers' Federation, an alumnus of the 2011 Governor General's Leadership Conference, and a member of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists (CBTU). On August 17, 2021 at the ETFO Annual Meeting Karen was elected president of ETFO. Karen is the first Black president to be elected to a provincial teacher affiliate union in Ontario, and the first Black president to be elected to a provincial teacher affiliate union in Canada.
Mark Harrison is the founder of the MH3 Collective, a group of ventures whose purpose is to connect people & ideas to create social impact. The Collective includes Humanity, a creative agency for the Human Age; Sidekick, a team of purpose-driven strategy consultants; T1, a sponsorship agency that works with impactful brands; and SponsorshipX, a global community of marketing practitioners. In addition, he Co-founded the Black Talent Initiative to support the Black community in professional workplaces and Park Street Education, a charity to remove all barriers to children's education. His community involvement also includes being Board Chair of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto, a Board Member of the CAMH Foundation, the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences/The JUNO Awards, Ontario University Athletics, and an advisor to several ventures, including the Crankworx World Tour, and NFL Canada. In addition, Mark sits on the Board of Playmaker Capital, a leading digital sports media company. Mark is a recipient of the Harry Jerome Award (Business Category), annually presented by the Black Business and Professional Association (BBPA). In addition, his success in marketing over the last thirty years has led him to be the Association of Canadian Advertisers' 2022 Gold Medal Award winner. Mark is also CBC Metro Morning's business columnist, where you can hear his regular takes on corporate and societal matters.
Michelle V. Davis (she, her) Michelle Davis is a serial entrepreneur, researcher and educator and has worked in the fields of health, education, gender-based violence prevention, and international development. Michelle is the founder and CEO of MVD Consulting Inc., where she helps not-for-profit leaders and businesses create equitable, just, healthy, happy, and thriving workplaces. She does this through her Fractional Chief DEI Officer service, conducting workplace DEI audits, creating equity strategic plans, facilitating training and leadership development programs, and conducting research and evaluation. Michelle completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto in human biology after which she travelled to the Caribbean and spent five years studying and working on internationally funded projects across the region. She is an educator at heart has taught at the University of Toronto at Scarborough, the University of the West Indies, Humber College, and Centennial College. In October 2020, Michelle received the University of Toronto's Arbor Award, the highest award bestowed on alumni for her service to the University. When not making workplaces better, Michelle is usually cooking, reading, or cheering on her son at one of his basketball games...she's a proud basketball Mom! Michelle also serves her community as a board director at the Jamaican Canadian Association and a member of the University of Toronto's College of Electors.

She was the Executive Director of Weston Frontlines Centre, a youth charity in one of the poorest ridings in Toronto that she has grown from the verge of closing in 2016 to a multi-million-dollar organization in 2024. It has been ranked a Good to Give Charity by Toronto Foundation and Top 5 Youth Engagement and Youth Advancement Charity by Charity Village for two years.
She has now become the CEO and President of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto. She is also a Professor at Sheridan College and the CEO/Founder of a consultancy firm called Lett's Consult Community, which specializes in grant writing, fundraising, business development, and strategy, particularly for nonprofits and small businesses, and with government bodies on developing community development and partnership plans.
